From the land to table: agricultural beers and typical wines
Ours is an agricultural vocation, an innate passion for everything that comes from the land. At Casali ai Prati, we have transformed our barley and our grapes into authentic artisan creations that tell the story of our territory.
Our wines
Our territory boasts a long wine-growing tradition, Friuli is home to renowned wine-growing areas from the hills to the sea.
When we were little, our grandfather often took us with him to his countryside, where he took care of a small plot of vineyard for his micro-production of red wine. The most beautiful tradition was that of the grape harvest, when our whole family gathered for a day in the vineyard...
And we care a lot about traditions, which is why we decided to host a small vineyard in our farmhouse, thanks also to the proximity to the Adriatic Sea, which creates an exceptional microclimate given by the currents of warm and salty air. Here you can taste our characteristic IGP wines.
Il Brut

- Type: Dry sparkling wine
- Alcohol content: 12% vol
Our dry sparkling wine comes from quality Glera grapes, has a straw yellow color and a fresh, fruity aroma. The flavor is enveloping, and the aftertaste is slightly aromatic. It is an excellent accompaniment for aperitifs, cheese-based starters and fish-based first courses.
Lama 2.0

The name derives from the land in which it is grown, the “Lame” area, which once belonged to our grandfather. The land is suitable for wine cultivation, brackish and close to the Marano lagoon: this means that the Lama Bianco acquires particular organoleptic characteristics. It is a dry white wine that derives from resistant vines of the Soreli variety, grapes that require less use of agrochemicals compared to traditional cultivation, in favor of environmental sustainability. The grapes undergo a cold maceration treatment to extract the maximum aromas, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and refinement on the yeasts for 6 months. The flavor is fruity, with green apple aromas. It pairs well with fish and white meat dishes, but is also excellent for an aperitif.
Lama 2.0

Lama 2.0 Red wine is intended to be the evolution of the Lama that our grandfather produced in his countryside, the “Lame” area near the lagoon. Our red wine comes from resistant Cabernet Eidos quality vines, grapes that require less use of agrochemicals compared to traditional cultivation, in favor of environmental sustainability. Its color is ruby red, its complexity broad in taste. Its scents are spicy, with notes of berries. It pairs perfectly with cured meats and cheeses, and with meat main courses.
Our beers
A few years ago we did a test, we dedicated a part of our small barley production to transforming it into agricultural beer... and the result was surprising! The refermentation in the bottle determines the elegance of our beers, 100% Friulian, made with barley malt and spring water.
La Bionda

- Type: Blonde
- Alcohol content: 4,9% vol
Our Blonde beer is a top-fermented light beer, Golden Ale style, golden in color, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Refreshing, with a low alcohol content, it forms an intense, abundant and persistent foam. The scent distinctly recalls barley malt and the aroma of hops. The flavor is a balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops.
L'Ambrata

- Type: Amber
- Alcohol content: 6,0% vol
With a strong and never banal personality, our Amber beer is an aromatic Australian Pale Ale style beer, unfiltered and unpasteurised. Its hints of tropical fruit combine with the citrus and herbaceous aroma, leaving a long and persistent finish. Its pronounced bitterness is balanced by the sweetness of the malt.
La Scura

- Type: Dark
- Alcohol content: 8,5% vol
Intense and spicy, our Dark beer is a Strong Scotch Ale style, unfiltered and unpasteurised. It has a pronounced malt and caramel aroma. It's ideal for warming up the coldest days, it's our special Christmas Edition!
